The Butterfly Bar
The Butterfly Bar offers a thoughtfully chosen selection of wine and beer, champagne, coffee, tea, agave nectar lemonade and other libations in addition to a delicious food menu featuring decadent desserts and tasty savory treats, including deluxe cheese plates and smoked curry hummus.
The Butterfly Bar embodies a classic 1920’s bar ambiance. The interior design has a whimsical flare with an old-world European twist and beautiful lighting. The crown jewel of The Butterfly Bar is the actual antique bar itself-- a 20-foot-long, 100-year-old bar, originally designed for The Nimitz Hotel in Fredericksburg, Texas.
The Butterfly Bar debuts February 19th at The VORTEX on Manor Road. The spacious venue presents cutting-edge live shows all year round and houses VORTEX Repertory Company as well as many other performing artists.
The Butterfly Bar provides a large outdoor patio, a huge yard with a fire pit and fancy hula hoops, an outdoor stage and an outdoor dining room remodeled from an antique, polo pony shed from Brackenridge Park in San Antonio.
The Butterfly Bar will be open from 5pm to Midnight every night. Later this year, upon obtaining a full, mixed beverage license (slated for the summer of 2012), The Butterfly Bar will be open for extended hours and will serve classic cocktails (pre-prohibition style) with signature, Butterfly Bar magic potions including house-made bitters.
With a strong belief in the arts and social responsibility, The Butterfly Bar provides a welcoming place for the creative community of Manor Road and provides a pleasant change of bar scene for all of Austin’s fun-seekers.
