Kari has designed costumes for feature films, theatre and dance productions, music videos, and DVDs. She received a B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Costume Design for Dark Goddess 02. She has worked as a costume designer on numerous "road movies" and indie classics including Dazed and Confused, Love and a 45, and Lewis and Clark and George. She has designed costumes for Ballet Austin, Sally Jacques, Sharir/Bustamante Danceworks, and has been a VORTEX Repertory Company member and resident designer for the past 10 years. She also designs custom bridal attire.
