Betsy graduated from Baylor University with a BFA in theatre performance. She came to the vortex in 2002 for the production of MEDEA and has been a company member since 2003. She has also worked closely with Pollyanna Theatre Company, Arts on Real, and Theatre at the J.

Betsy has received five B Iden Payne Awards since coming to Austin, they include in VAMPYRESS, MEDEA (both at the Vortex), and for her roles in A DRAGON'S HAPPY DAY, TANGLED TRICKSTERS PART ONE, and TANGLED TRICKSTERS PART TWO with the Pollyanna Theatre Company. She has also received special recognition with Melissa Vogt-Patterson for their work as Cici and Poko in WAKE FOR THE DARK POET and nominations for her roles in CABARET with Circle at the J and Edward, the OWL, AND THE CALICO CAT with Pollyanna.

Betsy has been in the theatre world since the age of 12 and wants to thank her parents for all their love and support in her artistic leanings. She is excited to work on many more fun and dynamic works, both new and old, in the future.
