Matt Hislope received his B.G.S. in Theatre and Film from the University of Kansas, graduating with highest distinction in 2002. Specialty training was focused on physical theatre techniques such as biomechanics, mask work, and Japanese Noh and Kyogen. Matt has performed in Greece and Belgium, and in 2003 participated in the LaMama International Symposium for Directors in Umbria, Italy. He toured in the 25th anniversary production of ZOOT SUIT and in Physical Plant's NOT CLOWN, and spent a year performing in Austin's long-running ESTHER'S FOLLIES. At Vortex, he has appeared in TRICKSTER, and co-produced A THOUGHT IN THREE PARTS and HOLES BEFORE BEDTIME with his own company, Rubber Repertory. Appearances at the VORTEX |
