by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart | Directed by Mick D’arcy

Nominated for B. Iden Payne Award: Outstanding Performer in Youth Theatre: Steven Fay

VORTEX’s Summer Youth Theatre presents You Can't Take It With You, a comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. You Can't Take It With You presents the world of an extraordinary family who live a celebration of individuality. Like a string of firecrackers, this play unfolds with sparkling surprises and jewels of non-conformity, honoring the values of authenticity and uniqueness in life. You Can't Take It With You is a delightful comedy that tastes like a piece of “homemade Love Dream candy” and looks like “the most beautiful red fire in the world”. Winner of the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Featuring a Youth Company of teenagers including: Cooper Acord, Hayley Armstrong, Colin Ashby, Joshua Braun, Rio Esquivel, Anjelica Hymel, Anissa L. McVea, Hannah Newcomer, Felipe Ramirez, Martin Ramirez, Harley Roberts, Wyndham Shortt, and Cassidy Timms. Adult guest actors include: Steven Fay, Emily Fagan, Tyler Mabry, and John McNeil.
