Rob Nash presents
Special Needs
The Positively True Adventures of a Special Education Teaching Assistant
Jun.17-26, 2010 Thursday-Saturday 8pm !!2 weeks, 6 performances only!!
Rob
Nash is pleased to present the debut of his newest one-man comedy,
Special Needs. Special Needs is a heart-warming, funny, compassionate,
and rigorously honest look at caring for students with special needs.
Actor and writer, Rob Nash explores the lives of disabled students,
as well as the roles of faculty, administrators, parents, group homes,
politicians, and voters. Gratefully, these Special Education departments
are strong and successful. Sadly, looking at the education system,
it’s the Regular Ed kids whose needs aren't respected or adequately
addressed by the system.
Nash has been writing and performing his own brand of one-man shows at The VORTEX since 1995, most notably the award-winning Holy Cross Sucks! Special Needs is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division. Produced in association with VORTEX Repertory Company.
