a 3-Camera Filming of the Cocert Film/Documentary
12 Steps to a More Dysfunctional Family
Written and performed by Rob Nash | presented by the VORTEX
VORTEX Repertory Company is pleased to present 4 special performances
of award-winning writer/ performer Rob Nash's 12 Steps to a More Dysfunctional
Family. These performances will be filmed by Austin's own Cenozoic
Studios for a special new concert film/documentary of Rob's dysfunctional
family epic. So come on out and be a part of the film!
Before The Holy Cross Quadrilogy, there was The Dysfunctional Family
Trilogy. Mr. Smith (Fred) was the crossover character from Dysfunctional
to Holy Cross.
In 12 Steps to a More Dysfunctional Family: Ashley purges, Matt
runs away, Fred contemplates bankruptcy, Margot excels in Divinity
School, Windsong gets in touch with her colon and somehow Mildred
manages to keep the whole family together again. Witness the unbearable
intimacy that is family! A must for anyone who's been anywhere near
a 12 Step program!
Rob's solo plays: A Christmas Carol Roasting on an Open Fire, 12
Steps to a More Dysfunctional You, 12 Steps to a More Dysfunctional
Christmas, 12 Steps to a More Dysfunctional Musical, 12 Steps to
a More Dysfunctional Family, Freshman Year Sucks! Sophomore Slump,
Junior Blues and Senioritis, Sex Farce, Holy Cross Does Romeo and
Juliet, Love is God, Anxiety the New Depression and Norman Normal
Saves the World have played New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco,
Seattle, Atlanta, San Diego, Houston, Tampa, Durham, Austin, Provincetown,
UC Berkeley, UCLA, Dartmouth, Princeton and The Fringe in Edinburgh,
Scotland. Rob's stand-up comedy has been featured on VH1 Stand-up
Spotlight with Rosie O'Donnell and Comedy Central's Out There in
