Ghost from a Perfect Place
by Philip Ridley | presented by The VORTEX Repertory Company

B. Iden Payne and Critics’ Table Award Nominations: Lead Actor in a Drama: Mick D'arcy; Lighting Design: Jason Amato; Scenic Design: Ann Marie Gordon

Many years have passed when smooth-talking gangster, Travis Flood, returns home. The old neighborhood has fallen to ruins. Everything is smashed and broken. One evening re-living the heydays with Torchie Sparks of the old cinema followed by a face-off with Rio Sparks and her girl gang make Travis question the world he remembers. Violence is the inevitable outcome and someone has to pay. Who's it going to be?

Fact or Fiction? Truth or Fantasy? What happens when a monster from the past meets a monster from the present and their stories converge? Ghost from a Perfect Place is a play in which these extraordinary characters find their lives hopelessly intertwined, and they must struggle with the choice to escape into nostalgia or face the harsh reality that their stories tell.

Featuring:

Patricia Wappner as TORCHIE SPARKS, Mick D’arcy as TRAVIS FLOOD, Melissa Vogt as RIO SPARKS, Tyrrell Woolbert as MISS SULPHER, Jane Adoph as MISS KEROSINA

Directed by Michelle K. Fowler, Scenic Design by Ann Marie Gordon, Lighting Design by Jason Amato, Sound Design by Chad Salvata, Costume Design by Pam Fletcher Friday, Publicity Photos by Kenneth B. Gall
